I put on a request last week. Our baby is due any day now, and really need some help with this.
I need to find out the true meaning for ALAYNA or ALAINA I've seen in persian it means princess, in greek it means light, in arabic it means upon if you take it literally from versus of the Holy Qur'an as in AS-SALAMU `ALAINA WA`ALA `IBADIL-LAHIS-SALIHIN
But I've also seen it meaning fair one in French & Gaelic. The only people I've seen out there on search engines seem to be non-muslims.
Is it a true islamic name ? Can someone confirm

it is an islamic name. nd dnt wori if there are other cultures meanings to the same name. it is a beutiful name and wud suit your child very much
