Scholars differ on this name
As-Sariyy means 'noble' (and a stream, Quran 19:24), which is good, but written in Urdu (سری) it reads as 'sirri' meaning secret, so it will be misread.
السَّرِیّ کا مطلب 'شریف' ہے (اور چشمہ، سورہ مریم 24) جو اچھا ہے، مگر اردو میں 'سری' لکھنے پر یہ 'سرّی' یعنی خفیہ پڑھا جائے گا۔
